About the role

The Amazon's World-Wide Fulfillment By Amazon (WW FBA) organization is seeking a Finance Manager to partner with the Amazon Warehousing & Distribution (AWD) product, engineering, and program leadership team. This role requires an innovative, results-oriented, and strategic individual who can navigate ambiguity and challenge the status quo, supporting a critical cost and seller-experience function.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with AWD's product and tech leadership as a strategic finance advisor, providing financial insights that inform product roadmaps, policy decisions, and investment priorities.

  • Own financial reporting for the AWD business area. Understand input drivers and validate data integrity to influence strategic decision-making and long-range planning.

  • Leverage data to surface disruptive ideas and deliver actionable guidance to business leaders.

  • Drive the end-to-end financial planning (OP1/OP2), forecasting, and month-end close processes for AWD's P&L.

  • Prioritize Controllership by identifying, resolving, or providing guidance on complex data integrity issues.

  • Strengthen controls to mitigate financial risk and reinforce frugality.

  • Communicate data clearly, concisely, and unambiguously—both written and verbal. Adapt style across audiences to articulate complex finance issues with precision.

  • Build and deliver WBR/MBR/QBR financial narratives for senior leadership, translating complex operational and financial data into actionable insights.

  • Influence cross-functional partners (Operations Finance, Accounting, FBA business teams) to drive alignment on financial treatment, reserves, and cost allocation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.

  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.

  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.

  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).

  • MBA, or CPA.

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
