Finance Manager, Payer & Government Programs, Amazon One Medical
About the role
The Finance Manager (FM) is a critical role within the Senior Health Value Based Care team at Amazon One Medical. Finance plays a pivotal role in driving the financial health, investments, and internal operations of One Medical. The FM will be responsible for several key workstreams, including deep dives into variance drivers, developing long-term strategies, and implementing data-driven reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
Ownership of monthly Medicare deep dives into variance drivers and reporting, including data manipulation and analysis.
Partner with the business and finance leaders to develop long-term strategies and new initiatives.
Partner with Business Intelligence, Science, and FinTech teams to implement data-driven reporting and driver-based forecasting solutions.
Conduct extensive month-end and quartered variance analysis, ROI analysis on current and new Medicare programs, and deep dive modeling for KPIs of value-based care.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field.
3+ years of experience in Medicaid or Medicare or Government Sponsored Healthcare or Payer-Based Healthcare.
5 years of finance experience, or a master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying root causes, and creating/implementing escalation plans.
6+ years of experience solving complex business challenges through accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations.
MBA or CPA.
Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos).
Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
