Finance Manager, NACF

About the role

Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to support operational and functional leaders. Amazon operates the most complex retail networks in the world, delivering billions of packages to hundreds of millions of homes and businesses annually. This role is part of a dedicated team committed to operational and financial excellence, focusing on inputs, thinking like an owner, and driving continuous improvement.

The NACF Finance team provides cost controllership, projects return on investment (ROI), and financial insights for end-to-end defect reduction processes and initiatives across the supply chain. The team supports various North America teams by translating operational KPIs into financial impact, ensuring stakeholders have reliable information to make data-driven decisions. The ability to learn, work through ambiguity, and simplify processes is critical.

Responsibilities

• Business Finance Support: Use financial knowledge and business acumen to build models and analyze business problems with limited guidance. Draw conclusions, make recommendations, and drive improvements.
• Independently align financial and operational analyses with business partners, challenging assumptions when necessary.
• Proactively identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improve, automate, standardize, or simplify tools and processes.
• Controllership: Own financial reporting for a business area and may supervise or mentor others in financial reporting. Identify and resolve complex data integrity issues, collaborating with stakeholders to maintain high standards.
• Develop and execute scalable, auditable data analysis processes.
• Communication: Utilize active listening to communicate data clearly and concisely (written and verbal), adjusting style for the audience. Articulate complex finance issues effectively.
• Build effective partnerships with Site Leaders, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance during unexpected events.

About the team

This role partners closely with Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Accounting, HR, and Technology. As a financial advocate and business partner, you will design, develop, and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to improve business economics.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining root causes, and creating/implementing escalation plans.
• 6+ years of experience solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate, timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven business impact (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
• MBA or CPA.
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation.

Pay

The base salary range for this position varies by location:

• Nashville, TN: $85,900 - $146,900 USD annually
• Irving, TX: $95,400 - $163,200 USD annually
• Bellevue, WA: $95,400 - $163,200 USD annually

Your compensation package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
