About the role

Act as a key Finance Business Partner to Senior Leaders and team members of the assigned BI US business and Controlling/Finance organization. Provide timely, accurate, transparent financial analysis and strategic guidance while demonstrating a business focus, solution-oriented approach, and proactive communication. This role includes both leadership responsibilities and strategic/operational tasks to support effective local and global partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate effective local and global partnerships by providing management with relevant, transparent financial and strategic guidance to support decision-making.
  • Challenge business partners and functional units in a business-focused, solution-oriented, and communicative manner.
  • Partner with functional leadership and other Finance team members to develop and implement local/global functional strategies.
  • Develop accurate and timely functional project plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with global/local strategies.
  • Manage preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting and the consolidated reporting process for the assigned US business entity.
  • Support US and global functional financial reporting requirements in collaboration with the Finance business team.
  • Provide scenario analysis, including risk identification and mitigation proposals.
  • Deliver comprehensive, timely financial analysis with business-specific interpretation to assist in decision-making.
  • Oversee P&L and Balance Sheet responsibilities for the assigned US function.
  • Manage all intercompany accounting and transactions related to the assigned US function.
  • Constructively challenge business partners on marketplace trends, production volume/capacity assumptions, and business trends to achieve financial objectives.
  • Provide transparent, accurate management reporting and analysis related to financial performance, headcount, CAPEX, etc.
  • Participate in the verification and approval of standard price calculations (including coordination with governmental bodies where applicable).
  • Lead or participate in international projects, ensuring local implementation, integration, and compliance.
  • Serve as a key Finance stakeholder for assigned US BI functional projects, establishing/measuring KPIs, leading planning processes, and supporting global agreements.
  • Ensure cross-functional and global alignment and adherence to goals.
  • Support financial oversight and development of contract manufacturing agreements.
  • Participate in local negotiations with purchasing and vendors.
  • Align manufacturing schedules with forecasts to optimize utilization.
  • Support key operations processes, such as inventory counts, cycle counts, and contract manufacturing agreements.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Help develop and execute CoSeA (Cost of Sales and Expense Allocation) processes.
  • Conduct periodic compliance reviews to ensure quality and risk management for commercial/operations processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or CPA from an accredited institution in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering.
  • Four to five (4-5) years of work experience with increasing responsibility in Finance, Accounting, and Operations.
  • Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex issues and make decisions based on available information.
  • Proficiency in using various techniques to influence business partners at all levels of a global organization (e.g., logic, storytelling, common vision).
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple priorities under high-pressure situations with tight deadlines.
  • Strong business partner relationship management and expectation-setting skills.
  • Ability to understand business risks, translate them into financial data, and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to navigate the intersection of business, medicine, science, and technology.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and understanding of key business strategies.
  • Ability to interact with business partners to provide financial/business advice and recommendations for meeting objectives.
  • Collaboration with functional management teams at local and global levels.
  • Strong project management skills to lead or participate in special projects as requested.
  • Knowledge and regular use of multiple systems to ensure data consistency and integrity across platforms.
  • Minimum travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Pharma and as a Controller with P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility is desired.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $181,000. The position may be eligible for a role-specific discretionary bonus, relocation, and/or other compensation elements. Actual compensation will be based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, and other factors permitted by law.
