About the role

E2E FP&A sits at the center of Amazon's Supply Chain. You’ll have the opportunity to shape one of the largest, fastest supply chains on the planet. We collaborate across Amazon's end-to-end Supply Chain to ensure fast and on-time delivery speed at the right cost structure. Our Finance team works closely with operations and finance leaders to surface insights, track performance, and drive analysis to optimize capacity planning, supply chain network design, transportation execution, and customer experience to deliver for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic supply chain initiatives with business and finance partners by presenting financial and non-financial trade-offs using data.
  • Identify, solve, or provide guidance to resolve complex data integrity issues.
  • Improve controls to address financial risk and support frugality.
  • Use data to identify disruptive ideas and provide advice to business leaders across the globe.
  • Oversee financial reporting for your business area.
  • Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning.
  • Partner closely with a broad range of global finance and business leaders across Operations and Retail categories.
  • Collaborate with capacity planning teams and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).

Requirements

A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to innovate by building creative solutions with large-scale data mining tools, identifying the high-priority work and projects that maximize results for key stakeholders, and solving complex problems that effect company-wide strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
  • 5+ years of finance, tax or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
