About the role

North America End-to-end (E2E) FP&A sits at the center of Amazon's Supply Chain. You’ll have the opportunity to shape one of the largest, fastest supply chains on the planet. We collaborate across Amazon's end-to-end Supply Chain to ensure fast and on-time delivery speed at the right cost structure. Our Finance team works closely with operations and finance leaders to surface insights, track performance, and drive analysis to optimize capacity planning, supply chain network design, transportation execution, and customer experience to deliver for our customers.

E2E North America (NA) seeks a Finance Manager who is a creative problem solver to surface actionable insights and drive performance. This role will own the E2E financial planning for NA Operations and partner closely across Customer Fulfillment, Inbound Transportation, and Outbound Transportation to consolidate financials and craft the E2E story. This is a high visibility role, frequently crafting documents for reviews with the VP of NA Operations. Our teams are rapidly expanding and increasing scope providing for a rich career growth environment.

This role's primary responsibility is to own NA Operations cost and KPI reporting by developing and surfacing insights, maintaining a pulse on the key operations metrics, and drive the narrative of how they impact financial performance. This role will partner closely with a broad range of global finance and business leaders across Operations and Retail categories, as well as stakeholders in capacity planning teams and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic supply chain initiatives with business and finance partners by presenting financial and non-financial trade-offs using data. Make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure.
  • Improve the NA FP&A processes to simplify and improve accuracy in the consolidation of planning and reporting.
  • Oversee financial reporting for your business area. Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning.
  • Use data to identify disruptive ideas and provide advice to business leaders across the globe.
  • With Controllership as the top priority, identify, resolve, or provide guidance to resolve complex data integrity issues. Improve controls to address financial risk and support frugality.
  • Use active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly. Your communications drive critical business decisions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.
  • Become an expert in your lane to contribute to work-life harmony. Be a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members and model operations excellence and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
  • 5+ years of finance, tax, or a related analytical field experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan.
  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
  • MBA or CPA.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Pay

  • USA, NY, New York: $104,900.00 - $179,500.00 USD annually
  • USA, TN, Nashville: $85,900.00 - $146,900.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Irving: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Arlington: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Bellevue: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
