Key job responsibilities

Drive E2E Supply Chain cost strategy by partnering with business and finance teams across the transportation network—surfacing insights, identifying optimization opportunities, and making informed recommendations in ambiguous, data-limited environments.

Serve as the control tower for E2E cost strategy by maintaining deep expertise in Amazon's financial planning processes and supply chain network intricacies. Synthesize cross-functional inputs across Customer Fulfillment, Inbound Transportation, and Outbound Transportation to identify cost drivers, flag risks, and align operational and financial plans.

Establish and improve controls to address financial risk while supporting frugality, with focus on identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex data integrity issues across our financial systems landscape.

Drive critical business decisions through clear, concise communication of complex financial matters, adapting style for various audiences and delivering compelling written and verbal presentations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
  • 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA
  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
