Finance Manager - Capital Projects

Louisville, KY | Hybrid (2 days remote per week)

About the role

We are hiring a Finance Manager to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and core finance processes for our growing U.S. operations. This role reports to the Group Finance Director and partners closely with operations, engineering, and executive leadership to provide financial visibility into project performance, capital expenditures, and overall business results.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Oversee Blackline reconciliations and system uploads.
• Produce monthly financial statements and reporting packages with narrative analysis.
• Present financial results to leadership during monthly review meetings.
• Own the 13-week cash flow forecast and ongoing liquidity analysis.
• Support monthly rolling forecasts and budget updates.
• Analyze variances between actuals, forecast, and budget.
• Deliver actionable financial insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee preparation and filing of tax returns and reports.
• Manage relationships with external advisors and auditors.
• Track capital expenditures and project budgets in collaboration with engineering and operations.
• Monitor project costs and timelines.
• Manage asset capitalization processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Drive automation and efficiency across financial systems.
• Provide oversight and guidance to accounting staff as a key finance partner to operations and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8 to 12+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• ERP and financial systems experience (D365 or similar platforms).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA license.
• MBA.
• Experience with tax credits and incentives.
• Project or capital accounting experience.
• Multi-entity or international business exposure.
• Power BI experience.

Pay

$100,000 to $130,000 per year, based on experience.

Schedule

Hybrid position based in Louisville, KY, with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days per week.
