Finance Manager, AWS Services GenAI
About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the AWS GenAI team. This role will own end-to-end finance support including OpEx management and planning/deep dives for Generative AI services. Additionally, this role will drive strategic new Generative AI feature launches and process improvements across the organization.
The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time-sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance.
- Own the GenAI services end-to-end and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.
- Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience.
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience.
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience.
- MBA or CPA.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

USA, WA, Seattle - $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually.
