Finance Manager, AWS Identity and Cloud Governance Finance

Description

AWS is seeking a Finance Manager to join the AWS Identity & Cloud Governance Finance team. The role involves owning end-to-end finance support including P&L management and planning, and driving strategic new feature launches and process improvements.

Key job responsibilities

  • Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance
  • Owning the services end to end of revenue creation, and influence business decisions that drive pipeline creation and realization
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations
  • Partner with finance, business, and sales teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
  • 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
