About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the Connect AI Finance team within the Applied AI Solutions (AAIS) Finance organization. This role works across the Amazon Connect business team to own new product pricing strategies for Connect AI products, drive better understanding of growth opportunities, customer adoption trends, and break down blockers to growth. The successful candidate will communicate effectively, manage time-sensitive deliverables across a matrixed organization, and manage risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to formalize agentic pricing for AI-enabled service products.
  • Manage and develop the financial analysis processes for reporting on AWS revenue, pricing, capex, and operating expenses.
  • Partner with and proactively communicate across the finance community to coordinate a complex and interconnected series of deliverables.
  • Support ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from finance executives.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.
  • Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience.
  • 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan.
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
  • MBA or CPA.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
  • Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel.

Pay

USA, WA, Seattle - $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually.
