Finance Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Partnering with leadership for financial planning, forecasting, and strategy development
• Making decisions on financial matters and providing guidance to other departments
• Monitoring KPIs such as gross margin, fill rates, DSO, and bill/pay spreads to improve operational efficiency
• Leading accounting and reporting activities, ensuring GAAP compliance, and preparing financial statements
• Managing cash flow forecasting, payroll funding, accounts receivable, and invoice processing
• Leading budgeting, variance analysis, and maintaining internal controls and financial policies
• Optimizing financial systems, automating reporting, and streamlining billing and collections processes
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, managing insurance programs, and supporting audit readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 3–5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in staffing or high-volume payroll sectors
• Strong understanding of staffing metrics, payroll funding, and cash flow management
• Proficiency in Excel, financial systems, and ATS/CRM platforms
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• PREFERRED: Scaling staffing firms, managing multi-state payroll, and familiarity with VMS/MSP environments
