Finance Law Associate

The finance group represents banks, private credit funds, borrowers, and sponsors on leveraged, asset-based, and corporate lending, as well as public and project finance matters. About the role

You will work directly with partners on a steady flow of lender- and borrower-side deals, with real ownership of documentation and closings. Hours are sustainable compared with the largest firms, and the partnership track is genuine. This role suits a mid-level associate ready for the next step.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security documents, and intercreditor agreements
• Acting for agents, lenders, and borrowers on syndicated, bilateral, and asset-based facilities
• Advising private credit funds on direct lending, unitranche, and fund finance deals
• Working on acquisition financings, refinancings, and amendments
• Running closings, conditions precedent, and perfection steps under UCC Article 9
• Supervising junior lawyers and maintaining regular client contact

Requirements

• JD from a US law school and active NY Bar admission
• 3 to 6 years of finance experience at a law firm
• Strong drafting and organizational skills
• Public finance, project finance, or private credit exposure is welcome
