Finance Intern - Summer 2027
About the role
Avient is seeking a summer intern to join the Corporate Finance team, which provides global solutions and services to enable Avient and its customers to reach world-class performance. The internship offers project opportunities within key areas of finance, audit, and accounting, including internal audit, tax, treasury, mergers & acquisitions, financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, and financial reporting. During the internship, you will establish relationships with peers and leaders, learn fundamentals, and receive feedback from the program manager. Upon completion, participants may have the opportunity to join the Finance Leadership Development Program after graduation.
Responsibilities
- Work as a partner with business/department analysts or directors to resolve financial-related issues.
- Become a contributing member of the finance team by collaborating with the business/department.
- Contribute to financial analysis, general accounting, and cost accounting through practical application.
- Gain exposure to domestic and international operations and knowledge of Avient customers and go-to-market strategies.
- Contribute to monthly and quarterly financial closings, projections, and forecasting processes.
- Interact with senior management, build relationships with employees across the globe, and make an impact on Avient’s future success.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business field.
- Prior internship experience preferred but not required.

- Team player with strong project management and organization skills.
