About the Role

MetaMetrics is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Vice President (SVP), Finance to lead the Finance function and oversee financial planning, accounting, reporting, analysis, governance, and operational performance.

Reporting as a key member of the senior executive team, the SVP, Finance will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, the board, and investors. This role will translate financial insights into business strategy while balancing long-term planning with hands-on financial leadership.

The position will directly oversee and mentor the Controller and Manager of FP&A while building scalable financial processes and high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's budgeting, forecasting, FP&A processes, and monthly management and board reporting.
  • Track and optimize key business metrics, including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Lifetime Value (LTV), and net revenue retention.
  • Lead financial modeling and due diligence for strategic growth initiatives, including M&A and international expansion.
  • Oversee capitalization structure, equity ownership, incentive allocations, vesting, and related financial reporting.
  • Manage capital allocation and optimize cash flow across product development, sales, and marketing investments.
  • Oversee accurate, complete, and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and applicable requirements.
  • Manage external audit firms, tax advisors, regulatory relationships, and annual audit processes.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal accounting controls, policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Manage banking and lender relationships, including liquidity planning, cash management, financing arrangements, and lender reporting.
  • Partner with Sales and Product Management to evaluate customer deal terms and support long-term customer and company value.
  • Model and forecast seasonal sales pipelines across Corporate and State customers.
  • Analyze expenses and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and EBITDA performance.
  • Lead and mentor Accounting and FP&A teams.
  • Participate in senior executive decision-making and provide financial direction across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the board, executive leadership, and investors to maintain transparent financial communication.
  • Support strategic initiatives and additional financial priorities as business needs evolve.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
  • At least 5+ years in a senior executive role, such as VP or Senior Director.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multifunctional finance and accounting teams.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced expertise in corporate finance, financial modeling, forecasting, capital structure, and risk management.
  • Strong experience managing external audit, tax, banking, and legal advisor relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, data analysis, and management reporting.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence C-suite and senior leadership stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking combined with hands-on operational capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or CFA certification.
  • Experience with enterprise ERP platforms such as Sage Intacct.
  • Experience with modern FP&A and business intelligence platforms, including Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions and international expansion.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS/business performance metrics such as ARR, LTV, and net revenue retention.
  • Experience managing equity and incentive programs.
  • Experience working directly with boards, investors, lenders, and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success improving financial processes, controls, reporting, and operational efficiency.
