Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for the financial operations of Jewish Tulsa
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial procedures
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Support the CEO in long-range financial planning and organizational decision-making
- Lead the annual budgeting process in partnership with the CEO and department leaders
- Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis and recommendations
- Prepare forecasts, projections, and other financial planning tools as needed
- Provide financial analysis to support major organizational decisions and strategic initiatives
- Oversee all payroll-related functions and ensure timely, accurate processing and reporting
- Oversee HR-related financial administration, including benefit administration and related recordkeeping
- Coordinate with internal staff and outside providers on payroll, benefits, and related compliance matters
- Help ensure that personnel-related financial processes are accurate, timely, and well managed
- Oversee foundation fund administration, including transfers, processing, tracking, and reporting
- Ensure accurate accounting and documentation related to endowed, restricted, designated, and other foundation-related funds
- Support timely and accurate reporting for foundation and investment-related activity
- Work closely with relevant staff, committees, and outside partners on fund administration and stewardship
- Lead preparation for the annual audit and serve as primary liaison to external auditors
- Retain and oversee legal, audit, tax preparation, and investment advisory service providers
- Carefully coordinate relationships with banks, accountants, auditors, insurance providers, and other outside financial partners
- Oversee preparation of financial materials and supporting documentation for annual filings and compliance requirements
- Help monitor organizational risk and appropriate insurance coverage
- Serve as the primary staff liaison to the Finance Committee, Treasurer, and Board of Directors on financial matters
- Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports, dashboards, and supporting materials for lay leadership
- Staff the Finance Committee and help guide committee work related to budget, oversight, reporting, and financial policy
- Provide clear and timely financial insights to support strong governance and informed decision-making
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or nonprofit financial management
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, audit preparation, and cash management
- Experience with payroll, benefits administration, and fund accounting preferred
- Experience presenting financial information to boards or committees preferred
- Supervisory experience required
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience required
- Clear communicator with the ability to translate financial information for non-financial audiences
- High level of judgment, discretion, accuracy, and organizational skill

Reporting Structure
The Finance Director reports to the CEO and directly supervises the Finance Manager.
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Some evening meetings may be required in connection with Finance Committee and Board meetings.
