Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all daily operations of the Finance & Insurance department.
- Maximize dealership profitability through effective menu presentation and product sales.
- Structure and submit finance contracts to appropriate lending institutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, credit unions, and finance companies.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, lender, and dealership regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Review deal structures to ensure lender and dealership guideline compliance.
- Maintain current lender program guides and evaluate new lending opportunities.
- Administer and monitor manufacturer-sponsored finance programs.
- Train administrative staff on proper funding package assembly.
- Analyze market trends, customer financing needs, and sales history to develop effective finance strategies.
- Collaborate with Sales, Accounting, and other departments to ensure smooth dealership operations.
- Participate in and lead Finance and Sales department meetings.
- Manage departmental budgets and approve appropriate expenditures.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of customer information.
- Ensure all deals are accurately booked and funded.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Automotive Finance Manager or Finance Director required.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing F&I teams.
- Strong knowledge of lender programs, compliance regulations, and automotive financing.
- Thorough understanding of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and state finance regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Ability to build lasting relationships with lenders, customers, and dealership staff.
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
