About the role
The Finance Director will provide financial leadership and analytical support for key sourcing & procurement decisions, partner with others to identify high-value initiatives in support of business goals, perform robust marginal analysis and financial modeling, translate complex analyses into clear recommendations, design, execute, and champion financial processes and reporting, and coach and train to elevate economic thinking and decision quality across SS&P.
Responsibilities
- Partner with others to identify high-value initiatives in support of business goals.
- Perform robust marginal analysis and financial modeling quickly to evaluate a high volume of opportunities; incorporate AI to processes to provide additional analytical rigor and ensure optimal economic outcomes.
- Translate complex analyses into clear recommendations to foster alignment and action.
- Design, execute, and champion financial processes and reporting, including deployment of AI-related tools.
- Coach and train to elevate economic thinking and decision quality across SS&P.
- Build strong partnerships across the company to align SS&P efforts with business priorities.
- Align with other finance teams on SS&P value creation goals and progress tracking.
- Lead SS&P financial reporting processes.
- Continuously improve reporting processes to enhance speed, accuracy, and transparency, most notably through deployment of AI-related tools.
- Work closely with SS&P leaders and teams to ensure SS&P efforts are strategically aligned with business priorities.
- Mentor and develop junior finance staff who support tactical reporting and analyses.

Requirements
- Career experience in finance, management consulting, corporate strategy, or procurement finance roles.
- Demonstrated ability to frame ambiguous problems and build rigorous financial models that inform decisions.
- Track record of partnering cross-functionally to identify opportunities and influence decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for presenting information in a clear, audience-appropriate way.
- Working knowledge of AI-enabled productivity and analytical tools and the judgement to deploy them appropriately.
Qualifications
- MBA or degree in finance, economics, or quantitative discipline.
- Experience leading within complex, matrixed organizations and collaborating with senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in high-velocity environments.
- Background in strategic sourcing & procurement and/or manufacturing.
- Experience applying AI to finance-specific workflows.
