Finance Collections Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Manage insurance and third-party payer collections.
• Submit insurance claims and ensure accurate billing.
• Review insurance payments and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Post payments, adjustments, and refunds within the billing system.
• Maintain accurate account documentation and follow-up activities.
• Review insurance correspondence and resolve account issues.
• Verify revenue codes and insurance coverage.
• Assist the Utilization Management team with insurance approvals as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support timely reimbursement and client financial responsibility.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• An associate's degree in healthcare or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance collections, or healthcare accounts receivable required.
• A working knowledge of commercial insurance, government payers, and managed care contracts required.
• A strong attention to detail with excellent organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
