Finance Clerk
What does a Finance Clerk do?
- Gathers and matches accounts payable documentation and approvals, responds to and inquires of vendors, maintains open and paid files, and archives records via scans of all documents.
- Produces weekly reports for the accounting supervisor to include upcoming electronic payments, and account payables.
- Responsible for maintaining proper vendor W-9 information, updating vendor certificates of insurance, and producing annual 1099s for contracted vendors.
- Performs fare box reconciliation, using appropriate counting machinery.
- Prepares bank deposits of farebox coin and currency as required for pick up by armored carrier.
- Prepares reports and deposit tickets for accounting staff as required to document and substantiate deposit amounts.
- Delivers Trip Tickets to various local outlets.
- Completes regular updates to the standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation for this position.

Pay
The starting salary range for this role is $35,939.02 - $40,704.00, depending on experience.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of accounting and office procedures.
- General knowledge of the functions and activities of an Authority.
- Ability to perform mathematical computations with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to speak and write clearly, and understand and follow written and oral directions.
- Ability to operate standard office and computer equipment.
