About the Role

This role will lead financial modelling, revenue forecasting, and strategic analysis to deliver clear, actionable insights that guide critical category and brand decisions. It plays a key role in shaping the product portfolio by giving senior leaders the information they need to make confident investment choices across brands and categories. It will also drive portfolio optimization by connecting finance processes with enterprise strategy and annual forecasting cycles, contributing to the refinement of brand and category finance frameworks and ensuring alignment with broader business goals. This includes supporting the successful rollout of category and brand strategies. With a strong focus on action and continuous improvement, the role will work to streamline workflows, boost efficiency, and embed best practices to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Brand Finance Commercial Team in developing a high-performing brand finance function.
  • Support the Category leads with high-quality financial analyses and presentations which influence and challenge strategic decisions.
  • Provide strategic guidance for Category Leads in support of developing category and brand strategies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales to optimise and provide analysis to pricing strategies for relevant brands and product lines.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting and performance tracking support for relevant category through the product development cycle.
  • Lead scenario planning and financial modelling to assess risks and opportunities.
  • Support the category budgeting process, including annual and quarterly planning.
  • Develop and manage dashboards and automated reporting to support definition and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) of categories, brands and SKUs.
  • Embed financial discipline and guardrails into the D&D process and investment decision-making, including driving strong economic returns on new product launches.
  • Perform market and trend analysis to understand performance fluctuations and deliver proactive, data-driven insights.
  • Support compliance and integrity of financial processes, controls and reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in financial planning and analysis within FMCG, retail, or consumer goods, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Advanced financial modelling and scenario planning skills to assess risks, opportunities, and investment returns.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen to translate financial insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Product Development to optimise pricing and portfolio decisions.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and reporting, including dashboard development and KPI tracking (e.g., Power BI).
  • Skilled in interpreting market trends and performance drivers to deliver proactive, data-driven insights.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system knowledge (e.g., Oracle) highly regarded.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline (essential); CPA or CA preferred.

Schedule

  • 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday
  • 8:30am – 3:00pm, Friday
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day
  • Reasonable additional hours due to multiple time zones
  • Flexible working options available

Pay

USD $120,000 - $125,000

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other office productivity machinery
  • May need to reach, stoop, kneel to access items
  • Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time
