Finance Business Partner

About the role

GHD is excited to announce their search for the Finance Business Partner. This position works closely with Finance Managers (FMs), Project Managers (PMs), Project Directors (PDs), Business Group Leaders (BGLs) and key stakeholders to drive financial performance and provide key insights.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Finance Manager and key stakeholders to drive optimal financial performance by influencing, analyzing, interpreting and communicating key performance indicators.
• Provide trusted financial advice to key stakeholders to align business direction, financial strategies and utilize a variety of data sources to support sound decision making.
• Assist in preparation of financial reporting and provides valuable analysis and insights.
• Assist in Pricing / Commercial Analysis support for project proposals and projects.
• Analyze and review actual vs budgeted expenses account on the Profit and Loss Statement.
• Support the Finance Manager as needed with all aspects of the month end close process to ensure accurate financial results.
• Support the annual budgeting process by analyzing existing data and providing forecasts.
• Support operations on complex project setup and work breakdown structure.
• Promptly raise key business risks affecting the business and develop and implement actions to mitigate the business risks and optimize business performance.
• Assist in liaising and addressing queries from corporate, internal and external auditors.
• Affirm GHD meets all internal and external compliance requirements.
• Conduct regular analytical reviews of major projects or projects in trouble (Estimate at Completion, Percentage of Completion, Earned Value, Revenue, WIP, AR, Variances) and engage with PMs, PDs and stakeholders for discussion to ensure optimal performance and accurate revenue recognition.
• Support with analysis of KPIs and Billing / Cash Collections forecasts.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or business.
• Advanced degree a plus.
• Minimum of five years’ related experience.
• Commercially astute with sound business acumen.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $90,000-$152,000 depending on experience and location.

Schedule

This position can be based in most of our US GHD office locations with a preference in one of the GHD offices in the northeast US. GHD supports a hybrid work model.
