About the role
As the Vice President, Analytics within the Chase Auto Planning & Analysis (P&A) organization, you are a senior individual contributor and thought leader. Reporting to senior Finance leadership, this role serves as the analytical backbone of Chase Auto's FP&A function. You will deliver high-quality management reporting, Auto industry intelligence, and data-driven financial analysis that directly inform executive decision-making at the line-of-business leadership level.
The ideal candidate combines deep Auto industry expertise with strong financial acumen, a command of modern analytics tools and data platforms, and the executive presence to translate complex financial dynamics into clear, actionable narratives for senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own the production of regular management reports and presentations that keep senior leadership informed of Chase Auto's financial performance and competitive positioning, including:
- Publishing weekly, comprehensive Auto industry and Chase Auto business updates to senior management.
- Synthesizing market developments, competitive data, and internal performance metrics into a concise executive narrative.
- On a quarterly basis, own the full narrative for the Auto industry update, providing strategic context around macro trends, origination volumes, credit dynamics, and competitive benchmarks.
- Be the primary owner of preparing materials for quarterly earnings calls, external investor conferences, and regulatory presentations. Accuracy, timeliness, and executive-grade quality are non-negotiable standards for all deliverables.
- Work closely with leadership to build narratives and write responses to anticipated questions from equity analysts, reporters, and other external stakeholders.
- Create clear, executive-ready materials that communicate results, risks/issues, and responses to ad hoc requests.
- Build content for senior leadership conferences and presentations.
- Perform ad-hoc and repeatable analyses as directed by senior management, with a consistent emphasis on speed, accuracy, and actionable framing.
Requirements
- 10+ years in FP&A, finance analytics, or consulting.
- Strong stakeholder management: collaborative, builds credibility quickly across levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail/control-minded; strong prioritization skills.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning abilities.
- Performs well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid expertise and knowledge of the Auto industry.
- Technical knowledge or experience with Alteryx, BI tools, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel.
