Key Details

Locations: Kirklands, Head Office
Wage: Band 3 Annex 21 (£29,103 - £31,409)
Duration: Fixed term post for 18 months, 36 hours each week.
Eligibility: Applicants should be aged 16 to 24 years old on 1st of August 2026, (or up to 29 years for applicants who have a disability or those with care experience) are eligible. Must demonstrate proficiency at SCQF Level 6/ Higher level.

What We're Looking For

  • Motivated Individuals: Highly motivated and committed individuals eager to join our Modern Apprenticeship Programme.
  • Skills: Strong communication, numerical and IT skills, along with the ability to understand various procedures and processes.
  • Interest: A particular interest in finance roles, coupled with a positive attitude towards work and professional development.
  • Qualifications: Ability to work at SCQF level 6/Higher level, with a Higher in Maths, Accounting or related subject.

Duties

  • Prepare and provide accurate, timely budgetary and financial information to support effective use of resources.
  • Monitor Directorate expenditure against budgets, carry out variance analysis, and help ensure corrective action is taken.
  • Prepare cost, manpower and forecasting information to support service planning and reprofiling.
  • Liaise with Financial Services on monthly, periodic and ad-hoc financial procedures.
  • Provide financial support for ad-hoc projects as directed by the Senior Management Accountant.
  • Manage computer input/output procedures and assist with annual accounts preparation.
  • Prepare accurate information relating to General Medical Services payments and independent contractor payments.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Management Accounting department, including distributing information to independent contractors when required
