Finance Assistant Director (St. Louis, MO)

The Stange Law Firm, PC is seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their Finance Department at the firm's headquarters.

About the role

The position is currently based in Clayton, Missouri, and will relocate to their new headquarters in Creve Coeur, Missouri, on August 1, 2026. Salary: $50,000–$70,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience, plus bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the Finance Director, the Finance Assistant will help support the firm's financial planning, reporting, and strategic initiatives.

• Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing financial forecasts, balance sheet projections, and cash flow projections
  • Reconciling bank accounts and assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Performing financial modeling and complex business analysis
  • Aiding with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Evaluating the financial feasibility of new office locations and expansion opportunities
  • Analyzing business opportunities, pricing, and return on investment
  • Aiding with financial reporting and helping improve reporting automation and efficiency
  • Preparing year-end audit support
  • Aiding with special projects
  • Supporting the Finance Director with additional financial and operational initiatives

Qualifications

• One to three years of finance or accounting experience preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred

• Leadership experience is a plus, but not required

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred
