Key Responsibilities
- Lead finance and accounting integration activities for Day 1 legal close and TSA (Transition Services Agreement) exit
- Develop and manage detailed integration workplans, timelines, and functional roadmaps
- Cook up end-to-end integration planning across accounting operations, financial controls, and systems
- Design and document future-state finance processes, workflows, and organizational structures
- Support ERP and financial system transition and cutover activities
- Map seller chart of accounts (COA) to buyer COA for reporting and operational continuity
- Cook up purchase price accounting (PPA) and opening balance sheet entries
- Develop Day 1 close plans, accounting timelines, and transition milestones
- Partner with finance, accounting, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment across integration activities
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies related to finance and accounting integration
- Support disengagement planning from seller-provided accounting and financial TSAs
- Provide regular status updates, reporting, and executive-level communication throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management experience supporting finance, accounting, or ERP integration initiatives
- Hands-on experience with finance and accounting integration in mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures
- Strong understanding of accounting operations, financial reporting, controls, and close processes
- Experience leading ERP or financial system implementations and cutovers
- Experience with chart of accounts mapping and financial data migration
- Ability to develop detailed project plans, workstreams, and governance structures
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Enertia ERP strongly preferred
- Experience working with multiple ERP systems and system migrations
- Background in oil & gas, energy, or asset-intensive industries preferred
- CPA, PMP, or related certification is a plus
- Experience supporting TSA transitions and post-close integration activities preferred
