Finance and Accounting Analyst Intern
Responsibilities
Support preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports
Assist with project-based work (process improvements, data cleanup, reporting enhancements)
Compile, review, and validate financial data for accuracy
Build and maintain Excel-based reports and dashboards
Partner with accounting team members on ad hoc analysis and special projects
Assist with variance analysis and trend reporting
Document processes and help identify opportunities for efficiency
Assist with data gathering and preparation for finance and accounting projects
Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables; basic data analysis)
Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Relevant coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Academic projects involving financial analysis, reporting, or data interpretation
Basic experience using Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting/filtering, pivot tables)
Exposure to financial statements through coursework or class assignments
Experience working on team projects and meeting deadlines
Strong attention to detail and ability to organize data
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Work Environment: This is largely a sedentary role; however, some work with physical computer and/or networking systems may be required to fulfill operational requirements.
Concentrated mental and/or visual attention.
The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.
The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.
Compliance with company attendance standards.
Prolonged periods standing up and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Warehouse environment, climate control, and able to move around.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
