About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically skilled professional to join our Strategic Finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting the growth of Affirm's revenue streams, particularly through large B2B merchant partnerships. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Growth Analytics, Credit, Revenue, and Merchant Pricing to influence strategic decision-making and optimize financial performance. The role involves building sophisticated financial models, forecasting, variance analysis, and developing scalable dashboards to provide real-time insights for executive leadership. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where strategic thinking, technical expertise, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional leaders to drive business outcomes through strategic and analytical support
• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, analyze variances, and reconcile metrics
• Collaborate with machine learning teams to integrate modeling with ML forecasts for enhanced accuracy
• Establish and track top-line performance metrics and targets, providing regular reports to executives and stakeholders
• Design and implement automated dashboards and analytics tools for cross-departmental and executive use
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend strategic actions to optimize revenue growth
• Support company strategy by providing real-time insights and forecasts to inform decision-making
• Drive accountability for financial results and contribute to strategic planning processes

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, or analytics roles
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear reports
• Proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and advanced functions
• Experience with SQL, Sigma, Cursor, or other data visualization tools
• Knowledge of Python is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and present to executives
• High attention to detail with a strategic mindset to evaluate analyses within a broader business context
• Curiosity and interest in AI, automation, and building innovative processes or models
• Experience with merchant payments or supporting B2B client relationships is advantageous
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and ambiguous work environment
