As a Staff Accountant, you will support the Finance & Accounting team by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong vendor and intercompany relationships, and contributing to timely month-end and year-end close processes. This role plays a key part in strengthening financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience across accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Experience working with accounting or ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy

Bonus

  • If You Have These Skills:
  • Experience in real estate, residential construction, or development environments
  • Familiarity with consolidation accounting
  • Experience with systems such as NewStar or similar ERP platforms

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day

  • Process vendor invoices, manage payments, and resolve billing inquiries to ensure timely and accurate transactions
  • Maintain vendor records, including onboarding, compliance documentation, and certificates of insurance
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments, and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Aid in financial reporting, data analysis, and ad hoc requests
  • Support audit activities by preparing schedules and providing required documentation
  • Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies
