Compensation $26 per hour Job Summary The Finance/Accounting Intern will assist the Accounting/Finance team in carrying out various accounting programs and procedures as part of the company’s internship program. Main Responsibilities Assist with month end and quarterly closings, financial reporting, and budgetingAssist with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliationsAssist with Balance Sheet reconciliationsPerform data entry into accounting systems such as JD Edwards, Citrix/HeavyJob, ADRA, and OnBaseRun & Build Financial ReportsParticipate in various Special Projects as directed by the Controllers, Payroll Manager or CFOAssist the Accounting department with other general accounting functionsPerform other duties as assigned Education Must be currently enrolled in a relevant degree program, including accounting, finance, or business administration Skills Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferredA basic understanding of Accounting principlesExcellent Communication skillsThe ability to work well with all levels of the organizationA demeanor for making continuous improvements of department processes Physical Requirements Ability to utilize hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need requireAbility to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the need ariseAbility to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch should the need ariseAbility to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workdayAbility to see clearly or with assistance via necessary correction Colas Inc.
