Final Quality Control Inspector I
About the role
The Acute Care Technology division of ZOLL Medical Corporation is seeking an In-Process and Final Inspection Technician to join our team. This position involves performing inspections of medical device products to ensure they meet specifications, maintaining calibration status of equipment, and ensuring compliance with GMP principles.
Responsibilities
- Performs in-process and final inspection of all product lines and areas for conformance to specifications (inspection procedures and engineering drawings).
- Conducts visual inspection and testing of components/assemblies in production.
- Verifies calibration status of critical equipment and instrumentation.
- Maintains and records quality testing information as part of a DHR (Device History Record).
- Initiates DMR’s (Discrepancy Material Report) for nonconforming material.
- Understands and ensures compliance to procedures.
- Populates required inspection metric information.
- Prepares retain samples for storage.
- Completes all tasks within established guidelines.
- Maintains work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Works in a team environment, multi-tasks, and communicates effectively.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 - 2 years’ experience in related position, or a sufficient combination of the two.
- Proficient in the English language (speak, read and write).
- Proficient in the use of basic Dimensional Measuring Tools.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Ability to read specifications, procedures, and engineering drawings, basic blueprint reading.
- Strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of GMP principles.
- Experience with quality control processes.
- Basic knowledge of medical device manufacturing.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of basic Dimensional Measuring Tools.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to read specifications, procedures, and engineering drawings, basic blueprint reading.
- Strong attention to detail.

Pay
The hourly pay rate for this position is $18.50 to $18.50, with factors such as shift, geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications affecting the rate. For fully remote positions, compensation will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local wage laws, including minimum wage requirements, based on the employee’s primary work location.
Schedule
This position is available on a full-time basis.
