Filson Seasonal Retail Sales Associate - Seattle

About the role

Filson, founded in 1897, outfits pioneers with high‑quality gear built for the toughest conditions. As a Seasonal Sales Associate you will support the store during peak business times, helping deliver the Filson Way Guest Experience, meeting visual and operational standards, and contributing to daily store operations while working toward personal selling goals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent Filson Way Guest Experience standards are met.
• Ensure Visual and Operational Standards are met.
• Greet guests, answer phones, and engage guests daily.
• Perform gift wrapping as needed.
• Support the team during peak holiday months (November‑January).
• Achieve daily and weekly selling goals.
• Occasionally support store events (in‑store or offsite) outside of posted operating hours, if needed.
• Keep all areas of the store clean, presentable, and stocked; perform opening and closing duties.
• Process shipments, pack orders, and handle other operational requirements, including refilling sizes and backstock.
• Regularly abide by Time & Attendance policies and all policies and procedures.
• Regularly abide by the Standards of Conduct and Ethics, and all policies and procedures.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Available to work days, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Must be available to work during the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• Available to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
• Available the week and weekend of Thanksgiving and Christmas week leading into the New Year.
• Able to stand for 8 hours.
• Able to lift and carry 30 pounds, as needed.
• Able to reach overhead, as needed.
• Able to pull clothing and luggage from shelves.
• Able to bend, kneel, or stoop.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping others, guest‑facing service mentality.
• Experience in guest‑facing service preferred.
• Has personal time management skills.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal skills.
• Dependable team player.
• Curious, friendly, outgoing, positive and optimistic.
• Flexible and adaptable to a high‑change environment.

• Interest in fashion, technical gear, and/or outdoor lifestyles.

Pay

Starting at $22.31 – $24.75 per hour (hourly compensation).

Schedule

Seasonal employment period: October 25, 2026 – January 23, 2027 (not to exceed 90 days). Start dates may be anytime between October 25 and December 12, 2026. Employment may conclude anytime within this period based on business needs, scheduling availability, labor hours allowed, and personal productivity. The last day allowed to work as a seasonal status is January 23, 2027 for any seasonal employee, regardless of start date. Depending on store needs, there may be potential opportunity for continued employment after the seasonal period ends.
