Scope of Responsibilities
- Works under direct supervision and accurately fills medication orders.
- Ensures product accuracy and neat packaging.
- Affixes drugs to prescription labels according to directions on the prescription label.
- Pulls drugs and matches National Drug Code (NDC) to prescription labels.
- Returns inventory to its proper place.
- Maintains and keeps reasonable production as determined by supervisor.
- Maintains all quality assurances as directed.
- Assists in keeping adequate stocking levels.
- Completes all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Summary
- Accurately packages medication orders per directions on prescription label.
- Assists in inventory control, including handling credits and restocking inventory.
Attendance Requirements
- Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.
- Must be available and on-time for scheduled work shifts.
Education and Experience
- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred: AS Degree or Higher in Business Administration or related field.
- Preferred: Hospital or retail pharmacy experience.
- Vermont Employees: Registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician.
- New Hampshire Employees: Registered with the State of New Hampshire as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Ohio Employees Only: Registered with the State of Ohio as a Pharmacy Technician.
Compensation
$16.00-17.50 per hour. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
