Filling Operator I 1st Shift
This entry level position is a member of the Manufacturing Team, responsible for activities associated with the manufacture of safe, effective, and sterile pharmaceuticals in accordance with company SOPs, policies, and cGMPs. The team ensures aseptic and sanitary conditions are maintained, manufacturing records are accurate, and professional behavior is displayed. The role plays a critical part in maintaining production schedules and meeting company goals.
About the Role
The Team Member will participate in all aspects of the Filling Process, including dispensing components, cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing equipment, and aseptic filling to manufacture sterile liquid pharmaceuticals. Responsibilities include operating filling and capping machines, loading materials (glass vials, plastic bottles, caps, tips, and seals), unloading finished products, and performing equipment tear-down and line clearances. Work is performed under the direct supervision of Senior Manufacturing Team Members.
Responsibilities
- Stocks, gathers, and stages manufacturing supplies and equipment.
- Gathers, stages, and returns production materials to support manufacturing activities.
- Cleans and stores manufacturing equipment and areas as required.
- Attends all training programs mandated by company SOPs, procedures, and policies.
- Performs additional tasks or duties as assigned by management.
- Embraces and upholds the company’s QUALITY culture.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to take feedback constructively and function in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to read documents in Standard English, such as SOPs, maintenance schedules, and operating manuals.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Physically able to wear cleanroom/protective gowning and equipment, including gowns, goggles, face shields, respirators, and gloves.
- Must maintain a clean-shaven appearance each working shift to properly wear tight-fitting respirators.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
