Filling Line Operator - 6:30am - 3pm - Heavy Lifting

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of floor operations related to filling, including labeling cartons and drums, operating automatic and manual package fillers, positioning bags in cartons, removing or positioning covers on tins or pails, positioning tins in cartons or crates, wiping excess product from containers.
• Straps containers, trucks barrels and boxes from filling floor and piles them in storage, transports supplies from storage, assembles and tapes cartons.
• Cleans up filling line and equipment when done. Cleans filters and floors as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader and Supervisor.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Respectful, approachable, and team-oriented behavior.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• The majority of the time is spent in the plant environment, which includes wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
• Noise levels are loud in the production area, requiring hearing protection.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have vision of at least 20/40 for near and far vision.

Tools & Equipment

• Electric dolly and hand truck.

Safety Equipment/Training Requirement

• Bump cap, hair/beardnet, eye protection/goggles, hand protection, hearing protection, safety shoes, hand protection and face protection.
• Mandatory training/competency: Proper lifting, PPE, Lock/Tag/Try Authorized, chemical specific.

Pay

Hourly Competitive Starting Pay – $22.91/hour
