The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking a Figure Drawing Model in the School of Art. The Figure Drawing Model is responsible for posing nude for Figure Drawing 1 and Figure Drawing 2 students. These classes rely solely on a model for the work that students produce. The instructors use a variety of different poses to challenge students, the model’s capability determines the level of challenge. Responsibilities

• Timely arrival to class sessions as arranged by Art Department faculty and/or staff
• Takes direction to achieve a variety of different poses as the instructor chooses and holds poses for periods of time
• Completes modeling session as required by the faculty member
• Maintains ethical and professional behavior
• Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree (or 60 credit hours completed)
• Ability to hold a pose for twenty minutes at a time
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Must follow directions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Nude figure drawing model experience

Additional Notes:

• Anyone hired as a Figure Drawing Model cannot be currently enrolled as a student at Mohawk Valley Community College.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. If you currently need sponsorship or will need it in the future to maintain employment authorization, you do not meet eligibility requirements.
• Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

Salary: $20.00 per hour
