About the role
The Figleaf Sales Associate will provide customer service, run the cash register, manage inventory, handle patient registration, and assist with fitting and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service in a professional and courteous manner
- Run the cash register
- Maintain inventory
- Receive, price, and stock merchandise
- Answer the telephone using appropriate telephone etiquette
- Utilize electronic billing program to conduct patient registration
- Schedule appointments with professionalism and respect for HIPAA requirements
- Assist with mastectomy, compression, and nursing bra fittings
- Accurately identify and enter patient demographics, insurance, and financial information
- Obtain patient identification and insurance cards
- Scan appropriate information into patient’s account
- Verify medical necessity and communicate relevant coverage and eligibility information to the patient
- Reach out to physician offices and/or insurance companies when needed
- Operate the cash register/Point of Sale System, maintaining accurate inventory and correct pricing
- Merchandise product on the sales floor as directed
- Clean displays and shelves and straighten merchandise on a routine basis
- Monitor store traffic and notify manager or security if there is a suspicion of shoplifting
- Maintain a positive and productive working relationship with other members of the department
- Respect the confidentiality and privacy needs of the patients, family, and staff
- Participate in cross training for work in other stores and rotate to other stores as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to demonstrate customer service skills and compassion to patients/family members
- Ability to give and receive instruction, written or verbal
- Basic mathematical calculations accuracy and timeliness
- Team player with highly developed problem-solving and communication skills
- Maintain composure when dealing with stressful situations
- Willingness to work at multiple locations with a flexible schedule to work events
- Attention to detail
