About the role
In this hands-on role, you’ll use your advanced welding, fitting, and fabrication expertise to solve on-the-spot design and functionality challenges for our customers. Most of the work will be solution-based, requiring you to get creative and think on your feet—often with no plans or drawings to guide you. It’s the perfect opportunity for a welder who enjoys solving problems and finding solutions in real time. You’ll have the chance to work across a variety of industries, including industrial construction, manufacturing, power plants, commercial sites, aggregate, coal, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide certified AWS and ASME welding services to construction trades and to various construction, industrial and mechanical projects
- Perform general labor for a variety of trades such as concrete work, rebar, masonry, welding, pipefitting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, rigging, excavation, ditching, trenching, etc. as required
- Weld using different techniques such as SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and oxygen acetylene cutting
- Perform layouts, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly
- Read welding and piping blueprints
Requirements
- 3+ years of industrial welding experience preferred
- AWS D1.1 and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessels Certifications required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to weld components in all positions required (flat, vertical, and overhead)
- Possess proven SMAW (Stick) welding skills and GTAW (TIG) welding skills - testing required
- Possess a strong mechanical knowledge
