Field Technician Weatherford, TX

Full-time position based in Weatherford, TX with a Monday to Friday schedule and overtime opportunities.

About the role

Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains natural gas compressors and other related equipment. Activities include preventative maintenance, correcting equipment deficiencies, making adjustments, and keeping records. Each employee is responsible and accountable for conducting their job tasks in a safe, healthy, and environmentally prudent manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment so that it operates reliably and safely.
• Communicate openly with management on the status of repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in both shop and field settings.
• Identify and maintain an inventory of high-use, common maintenance items.
• Control costs of in-house and outsourced maintenance or repairs through the use of warranty and vendor evaluation.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Ability to understand and follow necessary safety procedures and precautions.
• Knowledge of computer/laptop and intermediate knowledge of hand tools/power tools.
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment and random DOT alcohol and drug screenings.
• Preferred: 1 year of mechanical experience and/or 1 year of compression experience.

Physical Demands

• Wear personnel protective equipment as required.

Working Conditions

• Work in all Texas weather conditions.
• May be exposed to loud noise levels with proper hearing protection.
• Work in an environment with dirt, grease, and dust.
