Field Technician (Part Time/remote)
About the role
We are seeking a Product Certification Field Technician to support quality and compliance inspections across a regional client base. This position offers a unique blend of remote work and field-based responsibilities, providing flexibility and autonomy while working directly with manufacturing and technical organizations. This is a part time role where you can make your own schedule. Will average 20 hours worked a week. Opportunity to gain more hours if interested in the future or keep part time. Candidates MUST have experience within some sort of building material manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled on-site inspections to verify product and process compliance.
- Review quality systems, manufacturing processes, and documentation.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and document findings.
- Support clients in resolving compliance and quality-related issues.
- Communicate inspection results and technical information with stakeholders.
- Manage scheduling, travel, and workload independently across an assigned territory.
- Utilize measurement tools, technical drawings, and digital reporting platforms as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in quality inspection, auditing, manufacturing, or related technical environments.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Experience reviewing manufacturing processes, quality systems, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Proficiency with computers, tablets, and common business software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout a local territory.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
