Field Technician (Mechanic) (Pump, Power & HVAC)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create, assign, and monitor work orders using the company’s tech.
  • Track machine service intervals and order parts.
  • Diagnose equipment issues using real-time data from various makes and models.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures both at the shop and on customer sites.
  • Work individually or with other technicians to set up and operate equipment.
  • Aid in the training of lower-level technicians.
  • Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed.
  • Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Stay knowledgeable about OSHA requirements (preferred).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or trade school certificate preferred.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Experience with power generators and commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move freely.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
  • EPA 608 certification is preferred (can be obtained within 6-12 months of employment).
