Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses all types of equipment to ensure proper working condition on the job site or in the shop.
- Performs routine equipment clean-up and upkeep as well as safety review and pre-delivery inspections.
- Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts heavy equipment as required and completes all paperwork on the equipment to which the individual is assigned.
- Participate in all training programs directed by Manager.
- Bring to the attention of the Service Manager any shop tools, equipment or vehicle that is not in a serviceable condition or unsafe to use.
- Maintains tools in good working order per MSHA and OSHA regulations.
- Completes basic computer tasks including completing work orders, looking up parts, and communicating via email.
- Communicates with coworkers and customers to ensure top quality equipment is always available and customer expectation is exceeded.
- Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
- Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports.
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems.
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols.
- Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization.
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
- Build positive relationships with customers.
- Exhibit strong teamwork.
- Willing to train and assist other team members with difficult or lengthy repairs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment
- Proven field service experience
- Must have own tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work flexible shifts
- Travel Required: Required to travel to various locations for training classes/seminars. Drive to various vendors to acquire parts for assigned repairs. Position may require several hours of driving daily to job sites.
Qualifications
- Must be physically able to work in a jobsite environment for extensive periods to include lifting to 50lbs, bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching.
- Must be physically able to work in extreme conditions on job sites
- Night / Weekend On-Call work required.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
