The Field Technician II position at TeleWorld Solutions involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure. As a Field Technician II, you will play a crucial part in the success of these projects by performing essential tasks such as installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and infrastructure at customer sites and network facilities.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on telecom infrastructure, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with company standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with telecom equipment and networks, collaborating with senior technicians to resolve more complex problems.
• Conduct tests on installed and repaired systems to verify functionality and performance, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers during service calls, providing updates and ensuring their needs are met.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, submitting reports as required.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certifications or an associate degree in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field is a plus.
• 2-5 years of experience with XCAL and experience with CW testing (using CW TX and spectrum analyzer).
• Basic understanding of telecom systems, including cabling, routers, and switches.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in telecom installations and repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work through issues methodically.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel to different job sites as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Veteran or veteran spouse with expertise in telecommunications is encouraged to apply.
