About the Role
Provides support on an as-required basis to manually operate various threat environments/components that are ever-evolving and based on what the enemy is employing in theaters of conflict. Operations may include complex electrical systems, static displays, and/or ethnic costuming. Additional assignments may include performing duties as an escort, access control for training or conferences, and cross-utilization to support other sections within TRAX. Operates as part of a team or with direction and guidance from senior technicians. Interfaces with government and external customers using a customer service, customer-focused attitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties with attention to detail and maintain any required paperwork associated with support or routine duties.
- Perform other duties as required to complete the assigned mission.
- Deliver quality products to the customer and be responsive to their needs.
- Use “down-time” effectively to the benefit of test, self, and company.
- Comply with safety and security rules and policies.
- Work both as part of a team and independently.
- Work all shifts, up to 12-hour in length, with varying start times, including overtime, weekends, and holidays – sometimes on short notice.
Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain it for the duration of employment.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical, and periodic retests.
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
- Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions, including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must be able to lift moderately heavy objects (35+ pounds) waist high.
- Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined in the SOPs for Field Technician Support Section.
- Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Must have a well-mannered customer service attitude.
- Must be willing to cross-train in other areas.
- Must be punctual, responsible, and dependable.
- Must demonstrate motivation, initiative, and reliability.
- Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to follow instructions and company policy.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
- Must have dependable transportation and a dependable means of communication.
- Must be a current TRAX employee or affiliate subcontractor for internal postings.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating military and general support equipment/vehicles, including forklifts, cranes, etc.
- Experience with automated data acquisition systems.
- Knowledge of computers and common Microsoft Office programs – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to think and solve problems with “outside the box” approaches.
- Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize support, sometimes multiple times during an assignment.
- Ability to work in an office environment for extended periods.
Pay
$22.54 per hour.
