Field Technician/Courier, Environment Testing Northeast, Syracuse, NY

About the role

The Field Technician/Courier is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of environmental samples from multiple clients in the Syracuse NY area. The schedule is full time Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm.

Responsibilities

• Documenting, packaging and transporting samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans/protocols
• Responsible for quality control of all assignments and completing documents
• Following and enforcing company health and safety policies
• Must be able to follow technical instructions and guidance
• Assisting with data collection and routine sampling as needed
• Assisting with routine and non-routine sampling, monitoring, and data collection activities in support of environmental monitoring programs and client service requests
• Collections, documents, packages, and ships samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans/protocols
• Aids in routine and non-routine data collection activities for environmental monitoring programs, which may involve hazardous material/waste project sites
• Aids in routine sample preparation and/or analyses, generally on site, in support of mobile laboratory operations or screening surveys
• Completes documents and is responsible for quality control of all assignments
• Follows and enforces company health and safety policies
• Must be able to follow technical instructions and guidance

Qualifications

• Basic Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma
• Physical requirements: Bending and lifting are frequently; lifting equipment up to 50 pounds when necessary
• Must have a valid US drivers license without recent incident
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
• Perform other duties as assigned
