About the role
The US Central Environmental business is seeking a Field Technician (CA) - Sr. to join their field team in Guadalupe or Bakersfield, CA.
Responsibilities
- Support a variety of remediation and O&M projects throughout the region
- Operate and maintain soil and groundwater remediation systems, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance
- Data collection, site inspections, and system performance sampling
- Field sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, vapor, etc., in compliance with applicable standards
- Collection of detailed field notes and excellent oral communication
- Coordination with contractors and service providers and oversight of contractor activities
- Support and oversight to other field activities as needed
- Cordination with project team, local stakeholders, and clients
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required; College degree in environmental field is preferred
- 5+ years of environmental field experience
- Good electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Ability and willingness to perform field work and work overtime as required
- Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification is a plus
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required
- College degree in environmental field is preferred
- 5+ years of environmental field experience
