Field Technician
Key Job Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on large mining equipment (e.g., haul trucks, shovels, excavators)
- Work primarily in the field using a fully equipped service truck
- Support equipment including:
- Komatsu haul trucks (HD785 and larger)
- Larger excavators (PC2000 and above)
- Dozers (D375 and above)
Qualifications/Requirements
- 3+ years of experience maintaining mining equipment (Electric Drive Trucks, shovels, drills, dozers, excavators, loaders preferred)
- Able to read prints and complete repairs to OEM specifications
- Able to work in the field for 4 - 6 weeks at a time, up to 70 hour weeks
- Clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, low voltage electrical, and mechanical systems
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or 1 year technical college program is a plus
