Field Technician 2

Duties, Responsibilities & Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately record and report daily forms per project requirements.
• Adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Review all work assigned before beginning and ensure all tasks are performed according to applicable industry standards and client requirements.
• Utilizing GPS, tablets, and surveying tools, assist in field data collection for communication infrastructure projects.
• Work with senior designers and project managers to red line field plans, inspect, and correct work for completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Perform site visits and document existing or proposed fiber pathways.
• Maintain organized log of field notes, pictures, and project documents.

Requirements

• Interest in telecommunications, civil design, and/or utility mapping.
• Comfortable working outdoors and on construction sites.
• Ability to walk/hike miles as needed in the field.
• Ability to travel and stay overnight in the area of the site location.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Email, Google Earth).
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Maintain professional attitude while representing the company or the client while in the field.
• Inspect and correct work for completeness and accuracy before submission.

Qualifications

• This is an entry-level position.
• Highschool Diploma/GED Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to maintain required certifications.
