Field Survey Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Loads vehicles with tools and equipment, ensuring materials are loaded correctly.
• May be required to drive company vehicle to reach jobsites.
• Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Verifies the accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites, and prepare maps or sketches of work performed in the field daily.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Capabilities and Credentials

• Working knowledge of field survey methods and calculations.
• Working knowledge of local survey laws, rules, and regulations.
• Developing understanding of field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic total stations.
• Good cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team.
• Good math skills, including algebra and trigonometry.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

About the Role

We provide our clients with a full range of surveying and mapping services. Through our work, we define land boundaries and analyze spatial data.

Requirements

Associate's degree or technical school preferred but not required. 1-3 years of related work experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Qualifications

Position will primarily work in a field setting. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
