Field Survey Crew Chief

About the role

The Field Survey Crew Chief leads daily on-site land surveying operations, manages field technicians, and operates advanced measurement equipment to map boundaries, topography, and construction sites. They ensure data integrity, maintain precise field records, and act as the primary link between the field team and office project managers.

Responsibilities

• Record clear field notes, sketches, and manage digital data export/import workflows to ensure data quality.
• Train, mentor, and supervise assistant chainmen or survey technicians.
• Coordinate schedules with project managers and interface professionally with clients and contractors on site.
• Enforce safety protocols, use proper PPE, and maintain company vehicles and gear.
